Fast demand, fast solution

When Krommenhoek from Apeldoorn in the Netherlands takes on new transport projects, speed is essential. The requirements were clear from the outset: maximum flexibility, high load capacity, and a vehicle capable of handling a wide variety of machines safely and efficiently. With exactly this ambition, the Dutch family-owned company turned to our partner Hertoghs Carrosserieën – and Faymonville immediately knew what had to be done.

The implementation of a MultiMAX Plus semi-trailer with the newly developed Flip-Tail ramp was given particular priority. A project with that certain extra touch, closely accompanied by the experienced customer with clearly defined requirements. „We needed a completely new transport concept that is consistently aligned with our real operating conditions – flexible, compact, and versatile“, explain Martijn and Ruud Krommenhoek, managing directors of the family business of the same name. „Creative solutions must also work in practice – without compromise. And that is exactly what made this project so interesting for us with Faymonville.“

Covering versatility with one vehicle

Whether in horizontal position for maximum loading length or folded up for passing through narrow construction sites and factory environments: „In all these scenarios, flexibility is key“, emphasizes Krommenhoek. „We must always be able to respond to different situations.“ The MultiMAX Plus with its new ramp concept is designed to transport an exceptionally wide range of machines, from heavy forklifts and telehandlers to aerial work platforms and mini excavators. For Krommenhoek, efficiency in daily operations is the top priority.

„Our transports are extremely diverse“, says Martijn Krommenhoek. „With the MultiMAX Plus, we can cover this variety with just one vehicle. That is a real advantage.“ The hydraulic lifting deck for driving onto the gooseneck can additionally be lowered by 290 millimetres, enabling safe transport within legal height limits and facilitating loading and unloading under changing conditions. Another key advantage becomes apparent during manoeuvring: the optional BPW Active Reverse Control system for the self-steering axle. It enables precise handling even in tight or challenging terrain. „In the end, what matters is that everything works smoothly, regardless of the location“, summarize Martijn and Ruud Krommenhoek.

Some technical data on the flip-tail ramp:

In horizontal position: 3,000 millimetres additional loading length

Folded up: 2,400 millimetres reduced overall vehicle length for compact transport dimensions

Load capacity in horizontal position: up to 10 tonnes

Approach angle: only 9 degrees for comfortable and safe loading

Three-part extension for flexible loading situations
